Here's one thing I've recently realized: you can write small blog posts!

You know how you often have different pieces of a problem in your head, and they just don't click right? Until they do, and then you want to share this clever insight that you had. But to talk about your idea, you first have to somehow explain the problem, and all the prerequisite knowledge, and suddenly the cool thought that prompted you to write this no longer seems all that important.

Screw that! I think you can just post the idea you had by itself. Somebody somewhere out there will eventually find it useful. And you can trust the readers with finding the preliminary knowledge themselves. They are very clever, and the internet is a treasure trove of information, they'll manage.

And writing smaller blog posts is much easier! You just type away a few paragraphs and you're done.
